Your Mission

The role of a substitute teacher means that you can step in at short notice to work part of a day, a full day, or over a longer period, depending on the needs of the organization.

During the school day, you are a present and active adult in the classroom, teaching students in grades F-6 according to a prepared plan.

As a substitute teacher, you will teach students in grades F-6 and be responsible for conducting lessons according to the given plan or, if necessary, independently create materials to conduct the lessons. You may also participate in students' break activities. After the day ends, you will be responsible for providing written feedback to the regular teacher.

As an after-school care substitute or resource substitute, you work alongside classroom teachers during the school day and participate in various after-school activities. Together with your colleagues, you plan and implement stimulating and educational activities for the students in after-school care.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• high school education
• very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• experience as a substitute teacher
• experience working with students in need of special support
• started or completed teacher training.

To deliver in this role, it is important that you are adaptable and reachable. You answer the phone and can quickly come to the school on short notice. You have no problem working in different roles and with children of various ages. You can also handle many different tasks and working methods, and you easily adapt to changing circumstances and the needs of the organization.
