Workplace Description

Mariehällsskolan opened in 2014 in the newly built area of Annedal in Bromma.

The school currently has about 530 students in grades F-6. At Mariehällsskolan, the staff is engaged and genuinely focused on the students' learning. Together, we develop methods that support all students' learning. From the beginning, we have consciously worked towards a school with good cohesion and a learning environment for both adults and students, where everyone should feel welcome. The school has bright, functional premises, a school library, and its own kitchen. Our focus is to make teaching and education accessible to all students through preventive student health work with a strong student health team. At Mariehällsskolan, we take advantage of each other's competencies, differences, and strengths. We dare to challenge, change, and refine the knowledge that constitutes tomorrow's opportunities.

Qualifications

At Mariehällsskolan, we work with an extended teaching role, and this position does not include a class teacher/mentor role. We are looking for a certified teacher qualified for grades F-3 - all theoretical subjects are required. The position involves teaching in grade 3 with associated planning, implementation, assessment, documentation, and follow-up, with a primary focus on the subjects of Swedish and mathematics. We would like you to have special competence in the area of basic reading and writing skills. You will be part of a team where teachers, special educators, and leisure staff work together around our students.

You have high expectations for the students, expressed in an expectation of all students' ability to learn. You plan teaching that clarifies expectations for what and how students should learn. You have a formative approach where you adapt your planning according to the students' development and results. Through clear and engaging leadership, you involve students in both your teaching and your planning so that a safe and accessible learning environment is created. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate and see it as a given to work collegially on planning the teaching. You cooperate with students, colleagues, and guardians in a responsive manner. You work systematically towards goals and results. You are driven and self-sufficient.

The position is a temporary contract until the summer break of 2025.
