Department of Computer and Systems Sciences Seeks Teacher in Quantitative Research Methods

The Department of Computer and Systems Sciences is one of the largest departments within the Faculty of Social Sciences, with approximately 200 employees and around 4,500 students each academic year.

Teaching is focused on business systems, interaction design, data security, game design, decision theory, and project management. The main research areas are: business systems, data security, data science, digital games, digital innovation, e-government, health informatics, IT management and governance, risk and decision analysis, language technology, and technology-supported learning.

Job Responsibilities

The main responsibilities consist of teaching and supervision at both undergraduate and advanced levels in courses related to quantitative research methods within computer and systems sciences. Course administration is also part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• a master's degree in computer and systems sciences or another area deemed relevant by the employer,
• experience in teaching and supervision in quantitative research methods for computer and systems science research, as well as supervision of bachelor's and master's theses at the university level in relevant areas, and
• the ability to express oneself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• experience in course development, responsibility, and administration at the university level, and
• experience in research within our research areas.

Since the work involves daily contact and interaction with other teachers, special emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills and a solid understanding of how people absorb knowledge and their varying conditions.

About the Employment

The position is permanent at 50% of full-time with a six-month probationary period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
