Fribergaskolan is a 7-9 school with approximately 590 students and 75 staff, located centrally in Danderyd near Mörby Centrum. The operation is well-functioning with very good results and many fine traditions. The school is very popular and has ambitious, pleasant students with engaged parents who provide us with good support in our work. We have a highly competent and dedicated staff, as well as good support resources in the form of well-developed student health services and a reliable substitute system.

We offer a pleasant working environment in our newly renovated premises where we have invested a lot in a bright and open learning environment with fresh furniture and the technical aids that make creative teaching possible.

We are organized in work teams but sit in subject-specific workrooms where there is an open and collaborative atmosphere.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will primarily work as the head of the school's study and career guidance, which includes everything that entails, but also be part of the student health team, participate in the work of the work teams, our AST operations, and work with newly arrived students.

In the ongoing work as a career counselor with us, you will provide students with the conditions to handle questions regarding the choice of studies and professions. This involves personal guidance in the form of counseling conversations, both individually and in groups. You will also assist students in their efforts to find internships for their work experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified study and career counselor
• Has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

It is advantageous if:

• You have experience working as a study and career counselor

You are structured and plan your work well, and you remain stable and maintain a good mood under stress and adversity. We also wish for you to be solution-oriented when problems arise.
