Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.

IES Bromma is a school for grades 4-9 with 945 students and 100 staff members. We are a bilingual school that follows the Swedish curriculum. Our 9 SVA and Swedish teachers belong to our “Swedish Departments”. Your own teaching as a teacher takes place in Swedish, but we speak English among colleagues.

We are looking for a substitute teacher for one of our Swedish teachers for grades 5-6 for the period of February-May 2025.

Ideally, you have a teaching license with qualifications in Swedish. You are engaged in your subject and driven to challenge all students, regardless of background, to do their very best. You have the tools to create a good study environment in the classroom, and your clear leadership and teaching style contribute to good goal fulfillment. You are able to differentiate your teaching to reach students in need of adjustments and support, in collaboration with our student health team and special educators. Ongoing feedback to students and guardians regarding progress and areas for development is a given, and you allow it to take space in your teaching.

As a teacher, you are flexible and easy to collaborate with. We wish for you to see the whole picture in the student's learning and value good relationships with both your students and colleagues. Mentorship will be part of the job responsibilities.
