Special Teacher at Ormkärrsskolan

Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Workplace Description

Ormkärrsskolan has been an independent school unit since autumn 2023.

The school is located in the Ormkärr area, close to beautiful natural areas and a large schoolyard. Approximately 190 students attend Ormkärrsskolan, which is a F-6 school.

Since the school has recently become an independent school unit, there is an opportunity to help build the school and contribute to something new. Ormkärrsskolan is a small school where everyone knows each other, both students and staff. We create a safe environment to provide good conditions for students to learn and develop academically and socially. The staff at the school support each other, and flexibility and the willingness to go the extra mile are particularly important in a small school.

For several years, the school has worked on professional development regarding accessible learning environments to meet all students' rights to a good education. The school day should be predictable and clear, and students should feel that they are developing and succeeding. In the spring term of 2024, the school has begun training in language and knowledge-developing approaches. The training is expected to last at least two years.
