The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school care, primary school, high school, as well as adapted primary and secondary schools. We have over 3,200 employees at 45 preschools, 22 primary schools, and four high schools. Description

During the Christmas break, we received an unexpected vacancy and are therefore looking for a skilled part-time high school teacher in German for the spring term of 2025.

It is important to have communicative skills and to build good relationships with both colleagues and students. At Tumba High School, we give significant influence to the work teams, so it is very important that you enjoy collaborating and developing collegially. Tumba High School is one of the region's more well-functioning and high-performing high schools, and we are looking for someone who appreciates both giving and receiving feedback as you develop your professional skills together with us at the school.

Our students are generally driven (with high admission scores). You will work closely with skilled colleagues, and together you will have the opportunity to plan much of the teaching. For those who enjoy developing with pleasant and skilled subject colleagues, this is a golden opportunity.

Responsibilities

You will teach part-time in German for a maximum of 50 percent (3 courses). We are also interested in candidates who are in the final stages of their subject teacher education and want to try out the teaching profession, or for example, retired but certified teachers who want to work a little longer. Days that work for us are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Qualifications

High school teacher with certification in German. You should have high communicative and linguistic competence in your dialogue with students and colleagues; your skills facilitate students' learning and linguistic development. Tumba receives students from about 20 municipalities, mostly from the Stockholm area, and virtually all come to us with high ambitions but different educational backgrounds. We work purposefully to develop them all for the future.

Experience working as a teacher is a plus, as well as good skills regarding ICT and, for example, Google Classroom. Of course, we welcome applicants directly from teacher training colleges, and we value good competence in spoken and written Swedish.

Conditions

Collective agreement. Fixed-term employment for the spring term starting as soon as possible in January due to illness. There are good prospects for continuing the school year 2025/26 if you enjoy working with us and are the right person. With a compatible subject combination, we can also discuss full-time employment starting from autumn 2025.
