Närhälsan Fristad Health Center is located about 10 kilometers from Borås, serving a population of approximately 7,800 residents. Here, we work in well-functioning teams with 35 employees in a pleasant workplace in the countryside.

About the Job

Your main responsibilities include assessing and treating mental and behavioral health issues based on primary care assignments. The focus is on preventive and early interventions, based on common reasons for seeking care at a health center. You will work based on the needs of the registered population with digital care meetings, internet and group therapy, as well as physical individual visits.

We operate according to Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH), which includes high accessibility, stepped care, and collaboration with other professionals and healthcare partners. It is important that you have an interest in working according to the principles of IBH. This means prioritizing high accessibility for all residents with mental and behavioral health issues. It also means working with stepped care, where interventions range from psychoeducation and self-care advice to guided treatment with literature or internet therapy, group therapy, or individual treatment interventions. To meet the needs of the entire patient population, you must be able to vary the methods and extent of treatment interventions.

You and your colleagues share responsibility with the health center manager for the development of the center in an ongoing improvement process. Supervision of psychology candidates or PTP psychologists may be relevant.

About You

You are a licensed psychologist with CBT level 1 competence; other specializations may also be relevant. It is an advantage if you have experience in the following:

• Work as a psychologist at the primary care level
• Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH)
• Stepped care
• Internet-based psychological treatment
• Group therapy

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and actively wants to participate in the development of the organization. We hope you will engage in the daily interdisciplinary collaboration at the health center and contribute as a consultative resource to other professions. In your work, you will meet many different patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a good approach. Travel in the job may occur, a B driver's license is required.

About the Recruitment Process

The selection process consists of two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who will call candidates for a phone interview. Then the recruiting manager will make a second selection of applicants and invite them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that answers to questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this is to help us understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
