Our operations

Queen Silvia’s Children’s Hospital (DSBS) constitutes the combined pediatric care within Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

The hospital has a complete range of services from emergency care to highly specialized care such as neonatology, cardiology, oncology, transplantation, lung diseases, and allergology, neurology, metabolic diseases, diabetes, and endocrinology. Within Pediatrics, we run one of the region's largest training units. We offer one of the country's best ST training programs according to the SPUR inspection. As a resident, you will work throughout Queen Silvia’s Children’s Hospital and be part of the primary on-call line throughout your training period.

Job design

The ST training at the children’s hospital follows the National Board of Health and Welfare’s regulations and goal descriptions as well as the Pediatric Association’s guidelines and training guide, which include leadership training, scientific and quality/improvement projects. Supervision and feedback are continuously included in our ST training, as well as your active participation in the education and involvement in various working groups. Being a course assistant for the pediatrics course is included. Parts of the ST training in areas such as outpatient care, child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP) may be conducted at other locations in the Västra Götaland region.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a Swedish medical license who has an interest in research and development as well as teaching. You have good collaboration skills and personal commitment to your work. Previous experience working at DSBS is considered particularly meritorious. The number of months of pediatric experience should be clearly stated in your application. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
