One area that is affected is purchasing and sourcing, where we need to further develop our business to meet changing requirements and strengthen our competitiveness.

We therefore need to strengthen the organization with a purchasing strategist.

About the role of purchasing strategist

In the role of purchasing strategist with us, you will work to develop and ensure the business's purchasing and sourcing strategy by adapting and, if necessary, complementing ICA Sweden's common strategies in the area to provide the right support to the business.

Additionally, you will lead and coordinate the implementation of the purchasing strategy together with the category organizations, including follow-up and evaluation of results.

The role is part of the Development & Business Management team, which consists of senior and engaged employees who are very proactive in development issues and in implementing the strategic agenda of the special business.

Are you the one we are looking for?

For this role, we are looking for someone with experience in strategic purchasing and supply chain management, preferably in a global context and with a particular focus on developing and implementing purchasing strategies. You thrive in acting independently and creating successful collaborations; we are looking for a person who, with their personal drive and initiative, achieves goals and creates engagement, as well as builds strong relationships through their social competence and positive attitude. You have experience working data-driven, which allows you to quickly analyze and identify important and relevant areas while maintaining focus on the business's goals.

To drive change, you need to be comfortable questioning and challenging, as well as being good at communicating clearly to create consensus and understanding in the organization.

The following competencies and experiences are required for the role:

• Extensive experience in strategic purchasing and supply chain, preferably within FMCG.
• Experience in strategic planning and project management.
• Strong analytical and structuring skills.
• Academic background as an engineer, business economist, or equivalent.
• You handle the Office suite and Office 365 fluently.

It is also meritorious if you have experience in sourcing from the Far East.
