Our stomatherapy clinic is characterized by close collaboration between different professions and a pleasant work environment.

The stomatherapists run their own clinic under a trust-based leadership and with their own responsibility for the patients. They have close cooperation with departments, outpatient care, and other units within the hospital where they go for consultation assignments. Surgery East provides highly specialized care with national, regional, and local assignments.

We have a stimulating job and are constantly working on development and improvement both in everyday work and in clinic, hospital, and region-wide projects. The introduction and training are extensive, and we wish for you to complete at least the Advanced Nursing course in stomatherapy 7.5 Hp or the Specialist Nursing Program in surgical care with a focus on stomatherapy 60 Hp.

What do the job tasks look like?

You provide support and advice based on the patient's needs throughout the care period, meeting the patient before surgery, in the care department, and during follow-up visits. You are responsible for providing patients and their relatives with individual information on how to live with a stoma or reservoir. Your tasks also include stoma marking, individual fitting of stoma materials, stoma training, and prescribing stoma aids. You are also responsible for providing your colleagues at the hospital with ongoing training and guidance in stoma care.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or specialist nurse in surgery. It is an advantage if you are trained as a stomatherapist or district nurse and/or have experience working with patients who have a stoma in the areas of surgery, gynecology, or urology.

To succeed in the role, you have a strong patient focus and a solution-oriented approach. You enjoy working independently but are social and comfortable being part of a team. You are meticulous, service-oriented, and good at reading patients' needs and adapting information and teaching accordingly. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
