About Us

At Borås Assessment Team, we conduct investigations on behalf of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, known as Activity Ability Assessments (AFU).

We also assess functional and activity ability on referral from primary care, specialist care, and occupational health services in the Västra Götaland region. The purpose is to support the treating physician. The patients who come to us are either sick-listed or at risk of becoming so. Many have complex issues, and multiple perspectives are needed. Each profession in our team – occupational therapists, physiotherapists, doctors, and psychologists – contributes with their knowledge. Great emphasis is placed on teamwork where everyone's expertise is important.

We are located in newly renovated premises in central Borås at Lidaholmsgatan 3. There are good commuting options with proximity to the central station and bus terminal. There are plenty of good lunch restaurants nearby.

About the Job

The psychologist's assignment is clearly defined, and the psychologist role here is well established. If you are used to treatment work, you will find that you do not risk taking your work home in the same way. Every day you meet new patients, and you leave with a completed assignment. This also makes the work varied.

As a psychologist with us, you will have access to a varied test battery to assess cognitive and executive functions. In many cases, you will also assess emotional functions and mental health. In the team, you will always have an important consultative role in these matters.

You will work with assessments in a cross-professional team. The working method itself promotes good cohesion in the workplace, and there is a strong team spirit here. You will also be part of the psychologist group, which consists of several colleagues with expertise and experience from different fields. There will be ample opportunities to learn from each other.

Your working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours.

About You

We are looking for a licensed psychologist with at least a couple of years of clinical experience. It is certainly an advantage if you have worked with testing methodology and investigative work.

You need to have completed the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's advanced training in insurance medicine to be authorized to conduct AFU. If you do not have this competence, we offer you the opportunity to participate in the training. This is provided continuously and is funded by the employer.

You are expected to have an interest in and actively participate in development work. You are flexible, have good collaboration skills, and are confident in your professional role. You have a professional work ethic and enjoy sharing knowledge with others.
