Customer Relations Manager for Flexibility Recruitment

The energy consumption of Gothenburg residents is changing, and in the coming 10 years, there are significant challenges to ensure the electricity grid can meet demand.

Your Task

The Customer Relations Manager for Flexibility Recruitment works to encourage more of Gothenburg Energi Net's (GENAB's) customers to become more flexible and contribute flexibility to the electricity grid. Your goal in this role is to achieve the growth targets we have for our local flexibility market, Effekthandel Väst, and help avoid capacity shortages in the electricity grid while ensuring it is used more efficiently. Through knowledge and relationship building with our customers, as well as data analysis as a basis, you will recruit and retain flexible electricity network customers in our flexibility market.

The role is part of the flexibility trading process and also involves contributing to the development of flexibility trading, both in terms of the product and the process. You are expected to contribute to the flexibility team based on the high customer knowledge you gather.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring growth targets for Effekthandel Väst are met and contributing to the establishment of goals based on product needs
• Driving dialogue with existing and potential flexibility providers
• Assisting flexibility providers in analyzing their potential
• Following up and analyzing the results of flexibility trading internally as well as with customers
• Dialogue with the trading platform provider (currently Nodes) related to customer experience and activity
• Developing methods and strategies for recruiting suppliers to Effekthandel Väst
• Ensuring the collection of customer feedback regarding the flexibility product
• Contributing to the development work regarding the flexibility product

Your Team

The Customer and Business department is a group filled with energy whose purpose is to improve customer experience, secure electricity network capacity for our customers, and develop business models. With more customer insights, we aim to keep pace with customers and their new needs while also setting the right prices, business models, and ensuring the necessary electricity is delivered. As part of the department, your focus will be on Effekthandel Väst and flexibility, but also on nurturing customer relationships, spreading knowledge, and gathering customer experiences.

You will also work within the flexibility team, which is a cross-functional team within GENAB where different functions have different roles to ensure flexibility trading works. The product is under development, and there is great potential for you to drive the development of one of Sweden's leading flexibility markets.

This role is part of our transition journey to a proactive electricity network company with high customer knowledge.

Your Competence

A university degree (120 credits, 180 ECTS) or equivalent, with a focus on economics, marketing, or technology, or at least 5 years of experience in similar work involving both energy systems and customer relations.

The role requires experience in customer dialogues, preferably from a sales function, as well as technical understanding of energy use in operations. Previous experience in the energy system and familiarity with data-based analysis is advantageous.

As a person, we place great importance on personal maturity, the ability to lead oneself, and high energy. You need to have strong collaboration skills and be able to easily build relationships. At the same time, you should be good at verbal communication and have a persuasive approach focused on achieving goals. In your work with our customers, it is important that you are service-oriented and flexible to succeed.
