About the Simulation Center in the West

The Simulation Center in the West is an educational unit for healthcare professionals within Västra Götaland and students from Sahlgrenska Academy. We develop and conduct courses based on experiential learning, often using advanced computerized simulators.

The purpose is to increase patient safety and improve the work environment through training in practical skills, communication, collaboration, and leadership. We have several professional categories working together, such as nurses, specialist nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors. Our unit is growing, and we currently have 12 full-time and part-time employees, along with a large number of external instructors from both universities and hospitals in the region. In 2024, approximately 6500 healthcare employees and students participated in educational courses with us. We engage in pedagogical research and continuously develop our methods. We are located at Östra Hospital and Mölndal Hospital.

Job Responsibilities

Your main tasks will be to develop and conduct simulation-based training in teamwork, communication, and clinical skills. You will also play an important role in leading course participants and creating a safe and positive learning environment. You will develop and perform the work together with the team, but also with a high degree of independence. The assignments will come from various operational areas.

About the candidate we are looking for

We are looking for a licensed nurse. You thrive in working independently but also in a larger team. You are driven, enjoy working creatively with varied tasks, having your own areas of responsibility, and working on different projects. You find it easy to collaborate and value good relationships. Social, unpretentious, and solution-oriented are qualities that are highly valued. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
