About this opportunity:

Software Production System (SPS) creates and provides a compelling state of the art Software Production System, that gives BCSS R&D and Ericsson competitive advantage in 5G, 6G and Cloud Native engineering. SPS offers many shared services in development and non-target clouds, target clouds, telecom networks, software pipelines, lab infra and tools to enable E2E engineering productivities.

We are now looking for a lead architect that can keep our Development Environment solution together serving BCSS R&D, the work is done in cooperation with other parts of Ericsson R&D. We continue to evolve our environment, an important part is to keep meet expectations in the areas IT Security and Developer Experience.

What you will do:

• Own and evolve our Development Environment architecture and guide design and implementation activities.
• Support the move towards a common IDP (Internal Developer Platform) that aligns with the BCSS Engineering strategy to reducing non-coding time and increasing coding efficiency by allowing teams to focus on writing code rather than managing infrastructure.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate platform performance and user satisfaction.
• Collaborate and seek continuous feedback from Engineering Units (PDUs).
• Work together with other lead architects to drive the Ericsson R&D IT environment forward.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in the area.

The skills you bring:

• MSc level in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge.
• 10+ years - Extensive Leadership in Software development and R&D.
• Deep understanding of Cloud Native software development including continuous design, integration, deployment, and operation.
• Experience in Development Environment tools, process and methods that support efficient development organizations.
• Track record from System Management and Architecture leadership including leading teams.
• Excellent people/leadership and mentoring skills in line with Ericsson core values.
• A broad experience of the Ericsson product portfolio with a solid understanding of PDU’s and services needs to be successful.
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, speak & write English fluently.
