PKI Specialist at Svenska kraftnät

Svenska kraftnät is one of the most important players in the sustainable energy transition. As a PKI specialist, you will be offered one of Sweden's most important IT jobs, where you will contribute to Sweden's electricity supply every day. Currently, we are about 600 people in IT, and we will grow further in the coming years. This is to create conditions for Sweden to double its electricity production and meet climate goals by completely transitioning to fossil-free energy. To succeed, we will use the latest technology to increase the capacity of our infrastructure while accelerating the development pace around systems, digitalization, and processes.

About the position

Svenska kraftnät is in an expansive and critical phase, where we are building a completely new infrastructure. As a PKI specialist, you will have the opportunity to shape the entire PKI area from the ground up. You will develop solutions with a high level of security and awareness, where your work will make a difference for the entire future of Sweden's energy.

You will join an experienced and dedicated team and work in a large and very complex IT environment, with full control over the operation and development of all layers of the infrastructure. You will play a key role in securing the electricity supply and strengthening resistance to attacks.

Main responsibilities

• Establish structure and overall design for the PKI area – from scratch (!)
• Requirements specification, development, and management of new PKI solutions
• Installation, configuration, and documentation of HSM
• Develop, maintain, and administer digital certificate management
• Develop policy documents related to PKI and process descriptions for its management
• Contribute to the development work towards virtualized and automated services

About you

We are looking for someone who is self-driven and has a good ability to take initiative. You should be able to adopt an overarching perspective, and it is important that you always consider the whole. Furthermore, we see that you have a good ability to build relationships and communicate with various stakeholders at all levels to successfully steer the work, visualize the goals, and move others forward.

Mandatory requirements:

• Several years of experience in installation and administration of PKI systems
• Experience in establishing structure for PKI development
• Relevant education in IT or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equivalent
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Desirable experience:

• Hardware Security Module (HSM)
• Solution architecture and design of PKI solutions
• PKI systems in Linux environments
• KMIP
• Develop, maintain, and administer digital certificate management
• Process development for managing the lifecycle of digital certificates
• Architecture and implementation of infrastructure for secure cryptographic key storage/management
• Certifications in IT security or IT architecture are also desirable
