Svenska kraftnät is one of the key players in the transition to sustainable energy. As a system manager focused on data warehouse solutions, you will be offered one of Sweden's most important IT jobs, where you will contribute to Sweden's electricity supply every day. We need you to succeed in our vital mission to electrify Sweden.

Currently, we are about 600 people in IT, and we will grow further in the coming years. This is to create the conditions for Sweden to double its electricity production and achieve climate goals by fully transitioning to fossil-free energy. To succeed, we will use the latest technology to increase the capacity of our infrastructure while also accelerating the development pace around systems, digitalization, and processes.

About the position

In the role of system manager, you will have operational responsibility for managing our internal data platform for storage, collection, analysis, and sharing of data. As an important link between the development team and the IT organization, you will convert the business needs into effective IT solutions and contribute to the design of technical system requirements and lifecycle management of the IT environment. You will have oversight and control over ongoing activities and changes in the data platform, as well as regular contact with external suppliers and partners to maintain and improve our services.

As a system manager, you will:

• Drive technical issues regarding new and existing data sources and integrations.
• Ensure that incidents are handled within SLA and that larger changes are planned and approved.
• Monitor scheduled data loads and drive activities for improved monitoring.
• Be responsible for ordering infrastructure services from other parts of the IT organization.
• Manage the permissions structure and approve the allocation of permissions for users of data and reports.

In the role of system manager, you will contribute a deep understanding of the application. You will have opportunities to shape, contribute, and influence your role and the technological development moving forward. The data platform is and will become an even more important part of Svenska kraftnät's investment in the data area.

You will belong to the Data Analysis and Data Platform unit, which consists of about 20 employees distributed across several teams with expertise in data analysis, backend and frontend development, as well as IT specialists managing application operations and support for our platforms. The management team works cross-functionally with management leaders and engaged product owners. Together, you ensure that the systems meet the needs of tomorrow, maintain high quality, and are available while IT security is of the highest priority.

About you

To be successful in this role, we see that you are methodical and organized. You have the ability to effectively drive and structure your work towards set goals. You enjoy working both independently and in teams and have good collaboration skills as the work involves many internal and external contacts. You approach complex challenges in a solution-oriented manner. You have a sharp eye for detail and the ability to analyze data and information, enabling you to make well-informed decisions and drive technological development forward. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Furthermore, we see that you have a relevant degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Engineering, or equivalent competence acquired in another way. You also have:

• At least 5 years of work experience in system and application management.
• At least 3 years of practical work experience with data warehouses, decision support, and SQL.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with Big Data solutions based on clusters, e.g., Hadoop/Cloudera.
• Experience collaborating with infrastructure competencies.
• Good knowledge of IT security.
• Experience with Agile working methods and tools.
• Experience in the power industry.
• Experience in requirements management and test planning.
• Experience with ITIL, PM3, or equivalent.
• Basic project management experience.
