About the Position

As an IT Technician in the Swedish Armed Forces and FMTIS, you are an essential part of a successful team in an agency that is experiencing strong growth. The work is varied and primarily takes place in the Armed Forces' premises in Muskö and to some extent at other locations in Haninge, but other parts of the country may also be involved.

About the Organization

FMTIS has five units that perform operations and maintenance of the Armed Forces' command systems. The Implementation Unit Mitt is one of them. The unit has a geographical spread in central Sweden and Visby and is staffed with both military and civilian personnel. The Implementation Department Haninge consists of three sections with different focuses, and the number of employees in the department currently totals around 40.

Main Responsibilities

The work consists of independently carrying out installation, configuration, proactive troubleshooting maintenance work, incident management in the IT environment on the Armed Forces' computers, user support in both open and classified IT environments, as well as some handling of network components.

Qualifications

• Education focused on IT/data at least at the high school level or equivalent knowledge assessed by the employer as equivalent.
• Good computer skills, both hardware and software for clients in a Windows environment.
• Ability to express oneself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
• Practical and outgoing disposition, sense of responsibility, service-mindedness, and good collaboration skills.
• The position requires good physical fitness.
• Good experience working in a Microsoft environment and TCP/IP networks.
• Driver's license B.

Meritorious

• Current and relevant professional experience with IT systems, IT equipment, and IT communication.
• Experience with ITIL process work.
• Experience in IT security work, e.g., information security.
• Experience working in IT projects.
• IT certifications from e.g., Microsoft or Cisco.
• Knowledge of cabling/termination and documentation of telecommunication installations.
• Familiarity with the Armed Forces' equipment.
