Career and Guidance Counselor at Cuben Education

Cuben Education provides adult education in Swedish for immigrants as well as basic subjects in collaboration with the City of Stockholm and other surrounding municipalities. We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to teaching Swedish as a second language at Cuben's schools in Stockholm.

Our programs are based on the knowledge and experiences that students bring with them, and the teaching is tailored to the individual's goals and conditions so that they acquire the right skills for the labor market. The ambition level is high, and we systematically work with quality and development issues.

We are now looking for a qualified career and guidance counselor who wants to work with us. Your tasks will consist of both individual guidance and group guidance. You will support students in their efforts to understand how the Swedish education system is structured and how the Swedish labor market works, how they can validate their skills and experiences, and how they can best move forward. Your role also includes meeting students in classes and study halls, informing them about application periods, course offerings, study periods, and course structures.

At Cuben Education, you will work closely with the principal, teachers, and administrative staff. We meet new people and challenges every day. You should be able to create an adult relationship in guidance, building on the student's previous knowledge and experiences. Qualifications

Degree in career and guidance counseling. Experience in adult education is an advantage.

You need to be independent in your work and able to take your own initiatives. You appreciate when your work is varied and when you need to solve quickly arising situations with the student in focus in a dynamic environment where one day is not like the other. You are social and communicative. You have a very good habit of working with digital tools and feel comfortable using a computer as a work tool. We place great importance on personal qualities.
