About the Workplace

Huddinge is a municipality with proud traditions in nature conservation and, in its overarching goals for sustainable development, combines the preservation and accessibility of nature with urban development. The Nature Conservation Unit manages the municipality's 12 nature reserves and one biotope protection area, totaling 39% of the municipality's area.

Nature conservation is part of the Nature and Climate Department. The Environmental and Building Permit Administration in Huddinge municipality is responsible for regulatory activities in the areas of building permits, land surveying, and environmental supervision. The administration also drives strategic climate issues and manages the operation of streets, roads, parks, and natural areas in collaboration with other actors.

About the Job

The position of Land Manager for nature reserves and natural areas and forests is newly established. You will work with land management, leasing of grazing land, certain leases, as well as various other land leases within nature reserves. You will be involved in contract writing regarding different forms of usage rights. You will also work with forest management within the management regulations of the nature reserves.

You will be the contact person for the Nature Conservation Unit in the work with Huddinge's leased farms, together with the operational organization at Huddinge Community Properties AB and the ordering organization at the municipal executive administration. This means that you will focus on land issues and may participate in lease appointments and legal inspections. You have great opportunities to develop and drive projects.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with education or equivalent work experience in land management/agriculture, or reserve management (with experience in grazing operations). You also have education as a forest engineer, forest master, suitable legal or other relevant education with experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.

We see that you have experience and knowledge of contract management and procurement, as well as having worked for a few years with documented experience in the responsibilities related to land management within nature reserves/natural areas.

A valid B driver's license and good knowledge of the Office package are required for the role.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience working in a politically governed organization
• GIS knowledge
• Experience working with similar issues in a municipality
