Function Squadron is hiring Technical Operator
134. The Function Squadron gathers security intelligence regarding threats to the Armed Forces' valuable assets such as information, personnel, or operations through various methods. We are now looking for personnel who, after selection tests and training, will work as a technical operator within the security intelligence service.
Main Responsibilities
The daily work is largely varied and includes everything from theoretical problem-solving in an office environment to operational service in the field. You are expected to solve complex technical tasks both individually and in groups, sometimes over extended periods. Business trips within and outside the country are common, which may involve periods of absence, sometimes on short notice.
We are looking for someone who is an officer or civilian with a broad technical understanding and wants to work practically with technical problem-solving in the areas of radio technology, mechanics, and electrical work. We believe that a mix of people with different backgrounds creates a dynamic and creative work environment. Qualifications
- Completed GMU/GU/military service
- Driver's license B
- Physical requirements: FMFysS with additional test level 2
Meritorious
Higher education or documented experience in any of the following areas; radio technology, mechanics, electronics, measurement technology, acoustics, IT security, technical surveillance, or electrical work. Education in measurement technology, electronics, mechanics, or construction technology is also of interest. Ideally, you should have a few years of experience in one or more of these areas.
If you have a military background, we expect you to have completed specialist officer training or officer training, preferably with a focus on technical officer. Practical knowledge from the Armed Forces' technical systems and service in technical surveillance is meritorious.
Personal Qualities
The daily work is varied and challenging, which places high demands on mental endurance with the ability to work long-term. You also need to be self-driven and have a solution-oriented approach while being able to work in a team. A significant part of the information management is sensitive in nature, which places high demands on judgment and integrity. Your personality, your skills, and your genuine interest in technology are important to us. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Livgardet is one of the Armed Forces' largest units with roots dating back to 1521. We train tomorrow's soldiers, as well as military police and personnel who will carry out international missions. We guard the royal palaces, we have security and ground combat units. We are also responsible for preserving and developing the Swedish military music tradition. Our headquarters is in Kungsängen outside Stockholm, but we are also located in Sollentuna, central Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, and Karlskrona.
