In a time when the defense of Sweden is becoming increasingly complex and extensive, we need to grow. As a planning officer at the Life Guards, you will gain insight into our many different operations and tasks. At the Life Guards, we work with a lot, from security to ceremonial activities and military music.
About the unit
The Life Guards' regimental staff is seeking planning officers for the planning department, G5. As a professional officer in the Regimental Staff, you will operate at the regimental level and be involved in working for and influencing the entire regiment. The Regimental Staff includes 9 departments that work in different areas. Here, there is expertise and deep knowledge in areas such as personnel, communication, logistics, and security. The planning department primarily works with tasks that are long-term and often involve multiple stakeholders. This includes everything from daily operations to the development of combat units.
Main responsibilities
As a planning officer, you will work both independently and in groups within your own department and/or in temporarily assembled working groups where you will also lead the planning work at times. You will contribute to the regiment's planning regarding, for example, exercises and training, long-term operational planning, mobilization, unit production, combat unit development, GU training, and orders that affect the regiment's annual activities. Participation in several meeting forums and involvement in exercises at various levels are examples of what may also be included in the work.

Qualifications
- Officer or specialist officer education with a recognized degree
- Driver's license B
- Good knowledge of the Office package
- Experience working in the Armed Forces' support systems
- Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English

To succeed in the position, you need to have a social and helpful attitude. The position requires that you have the ability to plan, both short- and long-term, alone and together with others. You have a well-developed consequence thinking, are structured, and have a flexible approach. To thrive in the position, it is central to be able to create good relationships in various contexts and to have the ability to work together with others in a creative and solution-oriented way. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
Meritorious
- Current and relevant experience of work in battalion and/or regimental staff
- Military driver's license

The Life Guards is one of the Armed Forces' largest units with roots dating back to 1521. We train tomorrow's soldiers, as well as military police and personnel who will carry out international missions. We guard the royal palaces, we have security and ground combat units. We are also responsible for preserving and developing the Swedish military music tradition. Our headquarters is in Kungsängen outside Stockholm, but we are also located in Sollentuna, central Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, and Karlskrona.
