Who will you be working with?

Milla is 15 years old, has a rare diagnosis called Rett Syndrome, and lives with her parents, two older siblings, and a small hypoallergenic dog named Bosse in Billdal, just south of Gothenburg. The home is close to a bus stop with a direct bus to Gothenburg.

Milla enjoys being with individuals who are creative, playful, initiative, and like to come up with activities. She loves music and singing, movies, horseback riding, and being outdoors. As her assistant, you will work with Milla to train communication using an eye-controlled computer, implement training programs from a physiotherapist, and assist her with other basic needs. Milla needs help with most things. She can walk with support. You will be Milla's opportunity for interaction with others in her environment and support in her outward communication.

Scope of the position

Milla is looking for someone who can work during the day and evening, as well as weekends, approximately 25 hours per week with the possibility of more hours. Weekend arrangements can be discussed based on needs and mutual preferences, as well as timings. You will work about 65-70% on a fixed schedule, but from the summer onwards, there are great opportunities to work more!

Who are we looking for? What is important for you to thrive in the role as Milla's assistant is primarily the right personal chemistry between you, Milla, and the family. Both Milla and her family greatly value personal maturity in you as an assistant, that you are simply calm and confident in yourself, that you are independent and initiative-taking, have a great empathic ability, and know when it is time to step forward and when it is time to step back. You are welcome to be interested in dogs and/or horses.

Milla prefers female assistants.

• A driver's license is advantageous but not a requirement
• You need to be able to speak, write, and understand Swedish.
