Degebergaskolan is the F-9 school with about 350 students, characterized by a calm and friendly atmosphere where students, teachers, and other staff thrive and take good care of each other. Safety and a conducive learning environment are important factors for children's learning, and we place great emphasis on classroom leadership. At Degebergaskolan, we are in an exciting phase of development, where we, together with Kristianstad University, are running a collaborative project on writing in education. The project involves all classes at the school and teaching staff with activities in the classroom.

Job Duties

You will teach students in a special education group and be a resource in classes for grades 4-6. As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take responsibility for their own learning. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both in and out of the classroom.

Teaching is based on the curriculum's goals, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important cornerstones. You have positive and high expectations for the students and adapt the teaching to each student's level, focusing on the student's best interests.

Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you stay up to date on events in the world and young people's everyday lives. Alternative teaching tools and documentation are natural parts of your work. You systematically reflect on the practical work and, together with colleagues, drive development work in the workgroup/school. You also have a shared responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new to teaching, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work, and if you are an unqualified teacher, you can teach but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a certified teacher.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for someone with a teaching license qualified to teach in grades 4-6 in the subjects of mathematics, Swedish, and English in primary school. Secondarily, we are looking for someone with subject knowledge at the university level in the above subjects. It is advantageous if you have pedagogical education at the university level. We want you to have previous experience working as a teacher in primary school or experience in teaching. If you have worked with children/adolescents aged 10-14, it is advantageous.

You have the ability to adapt teaching to each student's conditions, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, calm work environment, and a desire to learn. We want you to have a good ability to teach children in need of special support and to support students in handling conflicts that arise. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school environment and how it is affected by the world around us.

A success factor is your ability to build trusting relationships both inside and outside the school. Furthermore, you are a confident pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the workgroup's work methods for continuous development.

Naturally, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on specified goals.

As a person, you are communicative, attentive, well-versed, and adhere to the professional ethical principles for teachers, with a knack for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.
