Frostaskolan consists of units for grades F-6 and after-school care, as well as grades 7-9. Together, about 550 students attend the school.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a teacher in Swedish and/or English for grades 7-9 at 100%. The position also includes mentorship. The position may potentially involve teaching Swedish/English to students who do not study a modern language, as well as possible teaching in a special education group. In your role as a teacher, you will plan your lessons, implement them, and assess your students' acquired knowledge. The planning of your teaching occurs both individually and collaboratively with your colleagues. Your teaching is based on experience and aims to reach and find strategies to strengthen your students, both academically and in their personal development.

You will be part of subject teams and work teams that have regular meetings. In the subject teams, you will have the opportunity to discuss and develop teaching together with a team of qualified teachers. Within the work team, you have the opportunity to discuss and plan joint activities and have dialogue with other mentoring colleagues in the school's overall work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher in Swedish and English for grades 7-9. Previous experience as a teacher is an advantage. You are confident in your role as an educator/leader and understand that good relationships enhance the entire teaching situation and create security for you and your students. Furthermore, we see that you are a responsible, clear, and structured teacher in the classroom and have a positive and solution-focused approach. You have the ability to see the whole picture and follow the school's supportive structures.

You have a positive view of students based on the belief that all students can and want to learn, and by creating accessible learning environments, you support students in finding strategies to absorb the teaching. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can adequately use them in your daily work. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop and evaluate your work. We see that you, as an applicant, are well acquainted with digital tools.
