Slättäng School is located just outside central Kristianstad. We are a K-9 school with approximately 500 students. We work to create a safe school with high goal fulfillment and good quality for our students.

Our goal is to create safe and knowledge-thirsty students who are well prepared for life. We do this by seeing and meeting each individual and allowing everyone to develop and grow according to their own conditions. Of course, we work in teams with different professional groups and competencies.

The school's premises are modern and well-equipped with digital learning tools for students and staff. We collaborate with Kristianstad University by having our teacher educators in the field (LUF:are) receive teacher students.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both in and outside the classroom.

Teaching is designed based on the curriculum's goals where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important cornerstones. You have positive and high expectations of the students and adapt the teaching based on all students' levels, focusing on the student's best interests.

Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you keep yourself updated on events in the world and the everyday lives of young people. Alternative learning tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. In a systematic way, you reflect on the practical work and together with colleagues drive development work in the team/school. You also have a shared responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new as a teacher, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work, and if you are an unqualified teacher, you can conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a qualified teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS

We primarily seek someone with a teaching license qualified to teach grades 7-9 in physical education and another subject in primary school. Secondly, we are looking for someone with subject knowledge at the university level in the above subject. It is advantageous if you have pedagogical training at the university level. We would like you to have previously worked as a teacher in primary school or have experience teaching or working with youth aged 12-16 years.

You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's conditions, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, a conducive working environment, and a desire to learn. It is an advantage if you have a good ability to teach children in need of special support. The ability to support students in managing conflicts that arise is also meritorious. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the outside world.

A success factor is your ability to create trusting relationships both in and outside of school. Furthermore, you are a confident pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the team's working methods for continuous development.

Of course, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on specified goals.

As a person, you are communicative, attentive, and well-acquainted with and adhere to the ethical principles for teachers, as well as having the ability to analyze and document students' abilities and knowledge.

To be considered for your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. If there are no qualified licensed teachers, you may be employed temporarily according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, you will need to present an extract from the police criminal record to be employed, according to the provisions in chapters 2, sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
