Statistician at the Swedish National Agency for Education
Are you an experienced, driven, and humble statistician who wants to work in an important and complex field? Join us and develop together with knowledgeable and lovely colleagues.
Contribute to the future of education!
About the job
You will be responsible for producing, publishing, and developing official statistics together with your closest colleagues. As a senior statistician, your role is to initiate and plan development work, compile, analyze, and communicate statistics. You will also participate in, and sometimes lead, other assignments within the department related to monitoring and evaluation.
The Swedish National Agency for Education is the responsible authority for Sweden's official statistics on the education system and childcare. Every year, we collect data and report statistics on children, students, staff, costs, and educational outcomes. In addition to official statistics, we also publish other statistics. Our statistics are an important basis for decision-makers, researchers, other authorities, as well as the media and the public. The demand for our statistics is therefore significant. Currently, several reforms are being implemented in the field of education that will affect the statistics.
With us, you will have varied tasks at the intersection of statistics, programming, analysis, law, and communication, where your work plays a crucial role in knowledge building and research as well as in the public debate.
We offer a stimulating work environment with colleagues who have different skills and experiences. You will have an important and complex field of work: the school and education system as a central and multifaceted social institution, in the midst of political debate but also in people's everyday lives and of great importance to many.
“Those of you who like numbers and friendly colleagues will find many of them with us!”

You will work at our modern and spacious office in Solna Business Park. You may also have the opportunity to work remotely up to 50%.
