Ena Energy is expanding and looking for a Daytime Drifting Engineer

We are now seeking a Drifting Engineer (daytime) who will work closely with shift operators and the operations manager to develop the operation of our facility and be part of upcoming projects. The position is newly established and will focus on fault investigations, improvement work, as well as monitoring and analysis of operational data. The role also includes increasing collaboration between shift teams and different departments.

About the role

Perhaps you feel ready to move on from shift work or are a marine engineer who has come ashore? If you have experience in power and heat production and an interest in analysis and follow-up, you will find an exciting challenge here. In your role as a drifting engineer, you will follow up on the performance of our facilities and the work carried out by the shift teams, and together with them, identify improvements and optimize both the facility, work methods, and driving strategies. You will work closely with shift operators, supporting them in their weekly planning regarding operations, planned maintenance and development, and participating in development projects. You will follow up on deviations and disturbances and, using trends, suggest facility efficiency improvements.

Ena Energy is facing interesting developments where new boilers are to be built and new fuels evaluated, and in this, you will contribute from the operational perspective.

Your profile

To succeed in the role of Drifting Engineer with us, we would like to see the following qualifications and characteristics:

• University or college education in a relevant field, e.g. energy engineer, marine engineer, drifting engineer, or equivalent work experience
• At least 5 years of work experience in operation at a heat or cogeneration plant
• Experience in monitoring and analysis as well as digitalization
• Goal-oriented with a strong drive and good ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and report your work
• Leadership of operational staff with good collaboration skills

A driver's license is a requirement. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Additional qualifications include in-depth knowledge of 800xA, PGIM, and the electricity market. If you also have experience working with Power BI, we are particularly interested.

About Ena Energy AB and FUTURENA

ENA Energy AB was founded in 1972 and is wholly owned by Enköping Municipality through the company Enköping Holding AB. The company produces electricity and district heating from almost 100% biofuels since the mid-90s when the cogeneration plant was put into operation. District heating is a secure and cost-effective heating form produced from environmentally friendly biofuels delivered to businesses and individuals in Enköping.

ENA Energy AB has about 40 employees. We deliver 220 GWh of district heating to approximately 1900 customers through a district heating network spanning 120 km and produce about 75 GWh of electricity for the Nordic electricity market.

The ambition going forward is to develop the business into a modern company of the future with new products and services. However, the major journey is the FUTURENA project, which means that the existing production facility will be demolished by 2035 to make way for housing and thus replaced with modern green technology elsewhere in the municipality. The position entails an important role in FUTURENA both in the short and long term.
