ENA Energi is a local energy company that currently produces electricity and delivers district heating in Enköping and its surroundings. We work to contribute to sustainable development by investing in renewable energy and smart solutions, and we have an exciting journey ahead of us with new products and a unique establishment of production facilities in the FuturENA project.

We are now looking for a fuel engineer who will play a central role in ensuring smooth and efficient handling of fuel supply and by-products for our combined heat and power plant. The position involves close collaboration with both ENA Energi staff and suppliers.

About the role

You will be responsible for the operational work related to fuel supply and by-product management. This includes leading the fuel group and ensuring that procurement, logistics, sampling, and other activities related to fuel and by-product handling function optimally. You ensure that the fuel meets the specified quantity, quality, and environmental requirements and ensure that our control routines evolve with the requirements. Together with plant owners and fuel purchasers, you conduct market monitoring and stay updated on fuel prices, suppliers, and trends to optimize fuel management. By continuously following up on agreements, you ensure quality and delivery, which forms the basis for financial and environmental reporting. An important part of the work is to create and follow up on key performance indicators to streamline operations and statistics to provide analyses of the entire chain from procurement to ash handling. You are responsible for the financial follow-up and are driving the digitalization of these processes.

You work closely with the operation of the combined heat and power plant and report to the Operations Manager.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in, for example, energy, logistics, forestry, or agriculture. We see that you have at least 5 years of work experience in fuel management or similar areas. You have a general knowledge and understanding of the path of fuel from raw material to by-product. You also have experience in follow-up and analysis as well as digitalization.

To succeed in the role, we see that you are a person with a goal-oriented approach, a strong drive, and a good ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and report on your work.

A driver's license is required. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.

About Ena Energi AB and FUTURENA

ENA Energi AB was founded in 1972 and is wholly owned by Enköping Municipality through the company Enköping Holding AB. The company produces electricity and district heating from almost 100% biofuels since the mid-90s when the combined heat and power plant was put into operation. District heating is a secure and affordable heating form produced from environmentally friendly biofuels delivered to businesses and individuals in Enköping.

ENA Energi AB has about 40 employees. We deliver 220 GWh of district heating to about 1900 customers through a district heating network that extends 120 km and produce about 75 GWh of electricity for the Nordic electricity market.

The ambition going forward is to develop the business into a modern future company with new products and services. However, the major journey is the FUTURENA project, which means that the existing production facility will be demolished by 2035 to make room for housing and thus replaced with modern green technology elsewhere in the municipality. The position entails an important role in FUTURENA both in the short and long term.
