About the Unit

The Technical and Maintenance Office for Command Systems (TVK Ledsyst) is responsible for taking technical design responsibility for the Swedish Armed Forces' command support systems throughout their lifecycle, from development to decommissioning, in times of war, crisis, and peace. The unit, which is growing, has its main operations located at the Signal Regiment in Enköping.

About the Position

The Material System Leader (MSL) for Technical Monitoring means that you take formal product responsibility for the technical systems included within the material area. The MSL exercises technical design responsibility directly delegated by the Technical Manager of Command Systems for assigned products. The design responsibility involves ensuring that the established design for permitted configurations of technical systems, including maintenance solutions, meets legal requirements, established objectives, and other performance, functionality, information, and system security requirements throughout the lifecycle. The area of technical monitoring is currently managed entirely within the Armed Forces.

This is done, among other things, by being responsible for:

  • System lifecycle planning, including the establishment and management of System Lifecycle Plans.
  • Reviewing design-influencing production decisions and documentation, and recommending actions as necessary to ensure, for example, maintained system security, usability, and technical interoperability.
  • Configuration management of incoming products.
  • In collaboration with the Material Area Responsible (MOA), managing service orders to suppliers.

The work takes place within a material area team (MO team) with Material Area Responsible (MOA), Technical System Leaders (TSL), and Technical Responsible/Technical Leaders (TA/TL).

Qualifications

  • A degree in a relevant field as assessed by the employer or equivalent competence acquired through extensive professional experience in the field.
  • Professional experience in producing and/or reviewing technical documentation in the field.
  • Professional experience in configuration management and conducting systematic change work related to changes.
  • Professional experience working according to laws, regulations, standards, and product-related instructions.
  • Professional experience in product reviews and evaluations.
  • Good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
  • Driving license B (manual).

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Work within the Armed Forces, the Defence Materiel Administration, or the defense industry.
  • Command and information systems area.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of System life cycle processes SS-ISO/IEC 15288.
  • Very good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

You describe yourself as a confident and goal-oriented person with well-developed social skills who is driven to create conditions for the organization to achieve set goals. You are self-sufficient with the ability to take your own initiatives and have good analytical skills. You are engaged and development-oriented with a sense of structure, order, and good planning and have an easy time prioritizing. Furthermore, you take responsibility and can see the big picture and switch between different perspectives. Additionally, collaboration is one of your strong suits.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Other

Employment form: Permanent. The Armed Forces apply a 6-month initial probationary period for those who are currently not employed within the Armed Forces.

Employment rate: Full-time.

Work location: Enköping. Travel may occur in the position.

Start date: By agreement.
