Calculation Engineer

A snapshot of your day

In your role as a calculation engineer, you will work daily with calculations aiming to answer questions regarding the strength, sustainability, and lifespan of our products. You will assist designers in verifying our structures according to building codes and standards in both onshore and offshore projects.

You will be part of our vision to work agilely and efficiently in various projects with innovation and high expertise in calculations.

How you will make an impact

You are interested in product development and would like to work with computer simulations, for example by producing finite element models in our software and analyzing the strength of our structures. This may involve static capacity, stiffness analyses, stability, as well as fatigue-related analyses.
You will work in an environment with challenging and diverse assignments where strength is a crucial part of the process. Together with a team of experienced calculation engineers, you will deliver results to projects through technical reports and presentations.
Together with a team of calculation engineers, you will actively contribute with cost-effective solutions tailored to the market and our customers' needs.
Stay at the forefront by developing new methods that streamline our way of working, for example by developing and maintaining our self-developed scripts in Python and Matlab.

What you bring to the role

You have a passion for calculations and enjoy solving technical problems with an analytical ability.
You are a team player, organized and structured with a good sense of prioritization to efficiently deliver results on time.
You have experience with the Finite Element method and are accustomed to creating simulation models.
Experience with Abaqus, Hyperworks, Ansa, Ansys, or similar is a requirement. Additional experience with Matlab and/or Python is considered a plus.
You have good communication skills, as the role involves building close relationships with both internal and external customers and conducting presentations for technical reviews.
You have a university/master's degree in mechanical engineering, construction, or equivalent with a focus on strength.
Good knowledge of English is required, both orally and in writing.
