JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In May 2025, we will launch Kryddhyllan, a new service housing. Therefore, we are looking for you who are driven by a varied job and great personal responsibility. Here, as an employee, you will have the opportunity to help shape the operations from the start. We are looking for three support assistants who want to work with us. Working hours will be scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. We work with flexible base schedules in the Multiaccess system.

The focus of the operation is social psychiatry, and the housing will support eight tenants. The operation will be staffed around the clock.

As a support assistant, you place the individual's needs, abilities, and interests at the center and support the user in everyday life and in their right to self-determination. You work to promote the development of the user's resources to provide the best possible conditions for an independent life with high quality of life. You work based on individually established implementation plans and are involved in all parts of the user's daily life.

As a support assistant, you will provide:

• Individually tailored and close support based on the individual's needs.
• Support in everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, creating meaningful leisure activities by participating in various activities. Maintaining contact with the individual's network. You will also activate the user based on their own wishes and interests, support the user's self-determination, participation, and personal integrity. Develop and maintain abilities considering each individual's specific needs. Work with social documentation according to applicable guidelines.
• We will work with the methods ESL, MI, low-affective response (LAB), and AAC.
• There will also be a support pedagogue in the unit who supports and develops the methodological work together with you and your colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability area that includes at least 200 vocational training points, 120 higher education points, or a combination in between that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education points and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities.

The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

The position requires that you have worked as a support assistant with the psychiatric target group for at least one year. Experience working with individuals with challenging behavior and substance misuse/risk. It is also desirable that you have worked with low-affective response (LAB) for more than a year and have knowledge and experience of methods such as ESL, MI, and AAC. We consider it a strong merit if you have knowledge of self-harming behavior and mental first aid/suicide prevention.

You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals.

You have interest, willingness, and ability to help others and are solution-focused.

You work effectively under stress, can balance different demands, and remain calm in difficult situations.

Based on your professional role, you can withstand pressure from others, set boundaries, and say no when necessary.
