Description: Essunga municipality is looking for an engaged social worker for the area of Economic Assistance within our Social Sector.

The social sector in the municipality is divided into three areas – Individuals and Families, Functional Support, and Elderly. The Individuals and Families area includes economic assistance, adult cases, children and youth, assistance assessment for the elderly and LSS, AME, and open care. Our driving force is to work for the best interests of the residents, and we are constantly working to continue developing. If you are a person who enjoys working closely with clients in all aspects of economic assistance and want to influence the further development of the service, this is an opportunity for you. If you are the right person, you will also take on the responsibility as a coordinator for the sector-wide group for domestic violence. In your role within economic assistance, you will work closely with cases related to domestic violence connected to economic assistance. Our adult caseworker is responsible for other client-related work concerning domestic violence.

The municipality has a development leader who drives the work of transitioning to the new social services act, where your expertise will be an important part of the work.

Job Responsibilities: As a social worker in economic assistance, you have a responsible assignment. Based on the needs of the small organization, you will work with all aspects of authority exercise, and your main tasks will be to handle applications, conduct qualified investigations, and follow up on approved interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and document in the operational system Lifecare.

The job responsibilities may be adjusted over time according to the needs of the service. We also offer the possibility of remote work as well as the opportunity to study up to 10% of working hours.

Qualifications: We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another equivalent education. Previous experience in authority exercise within social services is an advantage. We also see that you have good computer skills and hold a B driver's license.
