The smaller municipality and Härryda's own organization enable close collaboration within both social services and other operations. The Children and Family operation in Härryda is part of the social services sector and consists of three units: one for reception and preventive work, one for investigation and protection, and one focused on family support and foster homes. All units work closely together to find the best and most sustainable solutions for those we meet. We are keen to develop and think innovatively, and a crucial foundation for this work is Signs of Safety. In the role of youth treatment provider, you would be part of a family treatment group and belong to the Unit for Family Support and Foster Homes.

The Unit for Family Support and Foster Homes is located in the municipal building in Mölnlycke and consists of seven family treatment providers, five child secretaries, and five foster home secretaries. The unit also employs two senior social workers and a unit manager. With us, you will have a reasonable workload and a significant opportunity to influence your work. The group of family treatment providers is experienced and accustomed to helping each other and thinking of sustainable and creative solutions together. As a youth treatment provider, you will receive strong support from them and from supervisors and management.

The youth treatment position is a newly established role with us. You will work alongside family treatment providers and belong to their group to create a coordinated support system around the youth and their family. You will also collaborate closely with field secretaries and other important partners to strengthen preventive work for youth and identify youth with norm-breaking behavior early and in new arenas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an engaged and secure youth treatment provider who wants to work with youth who have or are on their way to developing norm-breaking behavior.

As a youth treatment provider, your focus will be on working directly with the young person and their needs to create long-term change. Sometimes your work will also include the entire family system or other important people in the youth's life. The idea is that you will have the opportunity to work intensively with each youth and therefore not have contact with too many at once. Your work will include both assistance and non-assistance assessed interventions.

You are a secure adult role model who builds strong relationships with the youth you meet. If necessary, interventions may be intensive, and you will work multimodally with a focus on direct contact with the youth. You will collaborate with individuals and organizations in the youth's network, including field secretaries and SSPF coordinators, to create a holistic view and good collaboration.

In your work as a youth treatment provider, you are expected to be proactive and present in the environments where the youth is located. You will work to create behavioral changes focusing on the youth's needs and based on their current situation.

The work will primarily be conducted during office hours, but based on the specific youth's needs, the work may sometimes require you to work evenings or weekends. Since this is a new position, we will continuously and collectively evaluate the setup of the position to achieve the greatest possible effect.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you have a degree in social work or social pedagogy, but what is important is that you have experience working with youth and possess patience and curiosity, are creative, and are good at building trusting relationships. We are looking for someone who is used to working with youth in challenging life situations and who has knowledge of social services' work and conditions. Experience working with the target group in institutions is considered a merit, as is experience in skills training, where you work to strengthen and enhance the youth's skills and abilities.

You are flexible, relationship-building, and can act quickly when needed. You have a systemic approach to your work. We see that you are secure, solution-focused, and have a genuine interest in helping youth develop and cease their norm-breaking behavior.

We place great importance on personal suitability, good collaboration skills, and your willingness to contribute to a positive work environment. You should have an open and trust-building approach and be secure in your professional role.

We work according to Signs of Safety, and it is an advantage if you have training and experience working from that perspective.

The job involves travel, so a B driver's license is a requirement.
