The Addiction Center is part of specialist psychiatry. Ward 4 is the care ward of the Addiction Center. Here we primarily care for addiction patients, but also, in some cases, psychotic patients initially in the care chain. The care provided includes both planned and acute care. Patients have both somatic and psychiatric care needs. Admissions occur around the clock in Ward 4. Patients come to the ward for care via psychiatric emergency services, planned via referral, and as self-referred via our detoxification ward, which is operated in collaboration with the county's municipalities.

As a nurse in Ward 4, you have a leadership role and are responsible for the psychiatric care of inpatients together with other professionals. You participate in rounds and perform standard nursing tasks such as medication management, assessments, and documentation. Your tasks also include support conversations and motivational talks with patients, as well as contact and coordination with other healthcare providers, municipalities, and relatives/significant others.

Standard nursing tasks: medication management, sampling, assessments, care responsibility with particular responsibility for psychiatric care, as well as leadership.

Preferred: specialist nurse. Previous work experience in addiction, psychosis, and/or neuropsychiatry.
