Specialization in district nursing or dementia nursing is an advantage.

Baggängen Health Center has built a good reputation over the years, and the staff works purposefully together to maintain a good working environment. Baggängen Health Center is located in southern Karlskoga, near Karlskoga Hospital, and is part of the Close Care Area. The area is tasked with providing care that is commonly occurring, often recurring, or chronic and therefore needs to be geographically close to the patients. The idea of close care is to connect care within hospitals, health centers, and municipalities more closely together. We aim to meet people with complex needs and chronic illnesses in a better way and work health-promoting and disease-preventive for all residents of the county.

As a district nurse/nurse, you will be part of a team but also have a large degree of personal responsibility and work independently. The tasks include telephone advice, reception work, and prescribing certain medications and aids. If you are a dementia nurse or nurse and want to develop in the field of dementia/cognitive impairment, you will work at the health center in a team with another dementia nurse and a nursing assistant. The team works with patients from all three region-operated health centers in Karlskoga.

Licensed nurse preferably with a specialist nursing degree in district nursing or dementia nursing. Experience is required. The job requires you to have good initiative, be flexible, and have the ability to make your own decisions. You find it easy to create good meetings with both patients and colleagues. Contributing to the development and change work of the organization is seen as a natural part of your work. We value an open and positive attitude, of course with the patient at the center. Great emphasis is therefore placed on personal suitability.
