The urology department operates at two of the region's three hospitals, Örebro University Hospital and Karlskoga Hospital. We have a broad urological practice that includes both basic urology and most types of highly specialized urological surgery. We also have extensive research activities and an educational mission within both nursing and medical education. At Örebro University Hospital, there is a care ward, an operating department, a day surgery unit, a shockwave treatment unit, an administrative unit, a research and development unit, and an outpatient clinic.

Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the county's three acute hospitals where we provide advanced medical care, research, and education. In both 2020 and 2019, USÖ received the prestigious award for Best University Hospital from Dagens Medicin. USÖ won the most significant category for medical quality, had the best results in the categories of accessibility, economy, and avoiding pressure ulcers and overcrowding. Nurse Urological Department, USÖ Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in our urological department, you will work with patients being treated for a wide range of urological diseases, including kidney and urinary tract diseases, prostate issues, and cancer. We care for both patients with acute conditions and those undergoing planned surgical procedures. Our patient group is diverse and comes from all over Sweden. An important factor for our high patient satisfaction is our focus on being a leading department, both in urology and in the work environment. In your role, you will handle a variety of medical technical tasks, such as infusions, blood transfusions, catheters, drains, and central lines. We invest in continuous professional development for our staff through both regional training and our own internal training programs ranging from sepsis to transfer techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and document the patient's health status
• Perform medical treatments and provide care
• Participate in teamwork and collaborate with doctors, physiotherapists, and other professional groups
• Provide support and information to patients and their relatives

There is also a discharge nurse on the ward who is responsible for contact with the municipality and participates in discharge planning. About the Position:

Permanent employment with full-time duties within the health and medical care administration, located at Urology ward 38. We apply individual schedule planning.
