We are responsible for specialized palliative care and advanced home healthcare in northeastern Skåne. Since January 1, 2025, our operations are organizationally part of the newly formed administration Close Care and Health. Palliative care is relieving care when the disease can no longer be cured. The treatment focuses on preventing and alleviating symptoms and supporting relatives. There are no limitations to diagnosis or age; the need for specialized palliative care is guiding. We work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, dietitians, and medical secretaries.

The operation consists of advanced home healthcare (ASIH) with responsibility for the patient's care, around the clock, but can also include other targeted palliative or curative measures, so-called outpatient interventions, which may include a palliative specialist clinic (PM) where we meet patients in an earlier palliative stage and are available during office hours. It can also be pure point interventions where the referring doctor is responsible for the prescription. Patients undergoing oncological treatment are also offered symptom relief and certain treatments as an alternative to minimize hospital time; these patients come on referral from CSK.

In Hässleholm, we collaborate with the municipalities of Hässleholm, Perstorp, and Osby. In Kristianstad, we collaborate with the municipalities of Kristianstad, Östra Göinge, and Bromölla. Additionally, there is a joint palliative care department for ASIH Hässleholm and Kristianstad located in Kristianstad.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for nurses for hourly employment with us.

In the role of a nurse with us, you will perform advanced home healthcare within outpatient care and work in a cross-professional team, where the goal of the care is to collaborate around the symptoms that the patient is troubled by to achieve the best possible quality of life. This means addressing the patient's physical, psychological, social, and existential needs while providing support to relatives. You will lead and actively participate in planning the patient's care together with other professionals, where you work with a patient-centered approach and take great consideration of the entire life situation. The tasks within the framework of these positions can involve day, evening, and night shifts.

As a new nurse with us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction program, including shadowing, and thereafter a mentorship where you will receive support based on your needs from an experienced nurse in palliative care. We value development work and continuing education for both new hires and experienced staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are a requirement. A valid B driver's license is also a requirement for the position. We prefer that you have several years of experience as a nurse in primary care, oncology, and/or palliative care. If you have specialized training in oncology/palliative care, it is highly meritorious.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role and has the patient in focus, which means you have the ability to see the patient as an individual and their needs. Since part of the work involves support and conversations, it is important that you are communicative and have the ability to meet people on different levels. Additionally, you are positive, responsible, and flexible as the work sometimes requires quick reprioritization. To thrive with us, you enjoy working in a team and possess good collaboration skills while also being able to work independently and make your own decisions. This includes mobile teams and specialized palliative care, outpatient services, and emergency care within close care, 1177 by phone, and certain region-wide functions.
