The clinical genetics, pathology, and molecular diagnostics area has over 450 employees and consists of three sections representing the medical specialties of clinical genetics and clinical pathology, as well as the methodological area/platform of molecular diagnostics. Our operations are characterized by a very strong development in both technical and medical possibilities due to an increasing demand for our diagnostics.

We have clinical pathology operations in Lund, Malmö, Helsingborg, and Kristianstad, while clinical genetics and molecular diagnostics are concentrated in Lund. We conduct both basic diagnostics and highly specialized diagnostics and provide specialist competence and consultation expertise within the southern healthcare region. Our operations also include the Center for Rare Diagnoses. We have a close collaboration with Lund University, and several of our employees conduct successful research linked to the operations.

We participate in quality work and care program work at both regional and national levels and are facing an accreditation process with quality assurance of diagnostic areas, document management, and laboratory work. Our diagnostics and diagnostic development are driven in 18 processes that span the entire organization. We are in an exciting phase with the use of new technology such as digital image management of routine microscopy and an ambitious investment in molecular pathology within the framework of the Center for Molecular Diagnostics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a resident physician (ST-läkare) for Clinical Pathology based in Helsingborg.

As a resident physician with us, you will have exciting and varied tasks with good opportunities for a broad education within our diagnostic areas, as well as the chance to participate in development projects and quality work. You will receive an individual study program and a supervisor in accordance with established guidelines for the specialty. Education and research are important parts of our operations, and we have a close collaboration with Lund University, Malmö University, and Kristianstad University.

The operations are conducted in four locations with different profiles, and the education will be placed in various locations depending on where there are the best conditions for different parts of the training.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. To succeed in the role, you also need to have very good communication skills and a developed technical and scientific interest. We expect you to be active in the development of the operations within clinical pathology. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
