Make a Difference. Every Day.

We are looking for dedicated nurses for the Palliative Care Department in Helsingborg. Here you will work in a warm and supportive environment where the focus is on person-centered care, symptom relief, and quality of life. Together with a competent team, you create security and well-being for both patients and their relatives.

Palliative care and advanced home healthcare (ASIH) in the northwest is organizationally part of Close Care and Health. We offer specialized palliative care and other advanced healthcare to patients of all ages residing in northwestern Skåne. The care is specialized according to each individual patient's needs. The goal of the care is to provide patients and relatives with advanced care, both medically and psychosocially, around the clock. We have about 30 employees in the Palliative Care Department in Helsingborg, which is an inpatient department with ten care places.

Patients offered care with us are in a late palliative stage. The symptom picture can be complex, and the primary task is to relieve and promote well-being and quality of life. We work in interdisciplinary teams where the focus is to make a difference every day for our patients and their relatives.

Competence development is offered to you individually through relevant university courses, training developed within the palliative center, and ongoing internal training.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for two nurses who find it interesting, developing, and value-creating to work in an organization where the patient's needs are at the center.

The goal of specialized care is to collaborate with the patient and other healthcare providers to alleviate the symptoms that the patient is troubled by to achieve the highest possible quality of life. This means meeting the patient's physical, psychological, and existential needs while providing support to the relatives.

- Yesterday when I heard "Thank you my angels" and "You care with such empathy" I felt a boost of pride for working with quality of life. I have been here for 18 years now and cannot imagine another place where I would feel as good. The job is like a second home, and here I feel at home, says nurse Ulrika.

We offer you a developing and exciting job where you become part of an interdisciplinary team. The overall goal for Region Skåne's palliative care and ASIH is to provide equal care for all residents of Skåne regardless of diagnosis, age, and place of residence. We are very proud of our operations and how care is provided and hope to find you who want to become part of us.

Work shifts day/evening and you will work two out of five weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to work in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are also a requirement. A specialist education or further education in palliative care and/or experience working in palliative care is meritorious but not required.

You as a person are empathetic, calm, and secure, and you find it easy to communicate. You are a natural team player and see the whole picture around the patient and their needs. A large part of the work involves support and conversation, and therefore you must have the ability to meet people on different levels. You have a flexible approach and the ability to prioritize between different tasks. Being able to work independently and make your own decisions is important, but you also value teamwork. We expect that you, like us, are happy to share your knowledge and a cheerful demeanor that contributes to creating a good working atmosphere. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

In this recruitment, we apply ongoing selection. Warm welcome with your application today!
