Make a difference. Every day.
The area of operation (VO) emergency care and internal medicine offers a spectrum of exciting challenges and opportunities. The emergency services are among the largest in the country with over 140,000 visits each year. These are distributed across two emergency departments, one in Lund and one in Malmö. Specialist doctors in emergency care are present at both emergency departments and work closely in teams with nurses, nursing assistants, secretaries, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and pharmacists.
Welcome to an emergency department led and driven by emergency physicians focused on high competence in the first line, training of future emergency physicians, and research and development of future emergency care.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now welcoming three new specialist doctors to our Emergency Department in Malmö.
In the emergency department, you will take care of children and adults of all ages with a wide range of medical and surgical diseases and conditions. The work is scheduled around the clock. You will be an important part of our ongoing development work, aiming to be Sweden's best emergency department! The work includes supervision and training of younger colleagues and medical students. As a specialist, you are also expected to have your own area of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who are applying are a licensed physician authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have specialist competence in emergency care. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.
As a person, you have drive and a great interest in development, education, and of course emergency care! You see the value of good collaboration and contribute to this by sharing your knowledge and experiences. Your commitment and positive attitude contribute to a good work climate, where we all help each other and collaborate to achieve the best quality of care for our patients. You thrive in a varied environment and can adapt your working methods based on changing circumstances. You understand the importance of person-centered care and individual needs. Since we care a lot about a good work climate, we place great importance on personal suitability.
At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. You may have acquired this through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training and as co- or main supervisors of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.
When submitting your application, you must fill out the questionnaire, which must be fully and correctly completed. You also need to attach your documents digitally; see under Other for what documents you need to send. For us to assess your application, it must be complete.
OTHER
In addition to the electronic application, applicants for specialist physician positions must attach medical licenses and specialist competence certificates. For the position of assistant chief physician, a certificate of service must also be attached. For chief physician positions, a diploma regarding disputation, a certificate of docent status, and a publication list (divided into original publications, review articles, and other publications) may also be required. NOTE! These digital documents are forwarded for expert assessment, so they must accompany your application. Non-Nordic dissertations must be attached to the application and assessed by the Swedish Council for Higher Education. If you have any questions, please email: rekryteringsservice.gsf.rs@skane.se
