Östbyskolan is a multicultural school with just over 180 students. Some of the students attend Östbyskolan's preparatory class for newly arrived students. Currently, there are students at the school with about 25 different native languages.

Östbyskolan is a school with a strong positive development! The values work, the educators, and the students' engagement and influence are the foundation for a good study environment where there is safety, study peace, and play. For us, the school and after-school care are important and meaningful places for both students and staff. We work so that all students feel that they want, dare, and can succeed!

About the job

Your primary task is to challenge students in learning together with colleagues and support students in their knowledge development towards set goals.

In addition to planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching, you will work with colleagues in work teams to develop the school based on our prioritized development areas.

Who are you

You are a certified teacher with the authority to teach wood and metal crafts for grades 1-6. Your ability to create good trusting relationships with students is a prerequisite.

We are looking for someone who is well acquainted with the purpose of the subjects, abilities, and assessment criteria and is well versed in the school's view of knowledge and value assignment. You have good knowledge and competence in digital and formative learning processes.

You have the ability to motivate and create situations that contribute to meaningful learning and accessible learning environments characterized by inclusion, variation, and participation. You have the ability to see and meet each student and start from what works, as well as having broad guidance and stimulation in teaching.

You see opportunities in close collaboration with others. Your learning in collegial learning is a matter of course. You reflect on and analyze your own teaching as a natural part of your practice.

You have a very good ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are communicative and creative. We appreciate that you can, want, and dare to think and try new things together with others.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Conditions

Permanent position 80-100% starting August 2025.
