RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool teacher with us, you will be an important part of an engaged team that together creates a safe and inspiring environment for the children. With your pedagogical leadership, you will plan, implement, document, and analyze the activities based on the preschool's curriculum. We place great emphasis on building good relationships with both the children, your colleagues, and the guardians, and you are a safe and responsible role model who contributes to a positive atmosphere. Through your work, you ensure that every child feels seen and has the opportunity to develop in a stimulating and safe environment where their needs are always at the center.

If you are a newly graduated preschool teacher, you will receive a mentor upon your employment. The mentor is part of a central group and is tasked with helping you get a good start in your professional life with us. You will be part of a learning organization where we focus on stimulating children's desire, curiosity, participation, and influence in projects and environments based on Reggio Emilia's philosophy of a hundred languages and the preschool as a democratic meeting place. This requires access to a large toolbox, various strategies, and ongoing reflection on what we do, how we do it, and why we do it.

Friarelyckan 55 preschool Nova is located in Gerrebacka with a lovely green nature that we see as an asset in our project work. The preschool has 5 age-divided departments named after our starry sky.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a preschool teacher degree and certification according to the Education Act. You have a strong ability to plan, implement, document, and analyze educational activities according to the preschool's curriculum. You also have a good understanding of and ability to work based on the preschool's governing documents, values, and the common goals of the preschool administration. Additionally, you have a natural ability to lead both children and adults.

To succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You have an excellent ability to create good collaborations and relationships with children, colleagues, guardians, and others you meet. You are responsible, have good self-leadership, and can create a safe and developing learning environment. We also see that you have the ability to be a good role model for both children and adults.

Furthermore, you have good digital competence and can use digital tools such as computers, iPads, and documentation systems for educational work.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in a Reggio Emilia-inspired manner and with project-based approaches in preschool.
