JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Burgården, we educate for reality, and just like in reality, our school is a bustling world, with many orientations, people, and meetings. We are a multicultural school with about 1250 students from all neighborhoods and surrounding municipalities. Here, the future hairdressers, fashion designers, and animal caretakers move alongside natural/social scientists, nursing assistants, preschool teachers, and support/teaching assistants.

In the role of teacher, you will teach future hairdressers and hair and makeup stylists in hair design. This is a student group that, during their high school years, is prepared for professional work and/or university education.

In your role, in addition to teaching vocational subjects, mentorship is also included. As a mentor, you build relationships with the students and take overall responsibility for their learning and development towards the goal of becoming a hairdresser candidate and achieving a high school diploma.

In collaboration with school management and colleagues, you contribute to creating good conditions for the school's students to thrive, develop, and achieve their goals. Together with the team, you become part of a whole where we work together to ensure that students reach their full potential both in school, in their professional practice, and in life. You have a good ability to collaborate with student health, other professions, and the home for the best interest of the student.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is educated and licensed as a hairdresser teacher to teach vocational subjects.

In the role of teacher, you are passionate about helping students achieve their career dreams. You contribute to creating good conditions for learning and support them in structuring their work. You are skilled at differentiating your teaching and finding possible individualized solutions, so that students can reach their goals.

You are confident in your professional role and skilled at building good relationships. You meet students with curiosity, interest, and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You have patience and understanding for all individuals' different circumstances.
