Gullmarsgymnasiet is a municipal high school with modern facilities and a fantastic location by the sea. We offer twelve national programs, approximately 600 students, and 80 staff members.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the vocational teacher include teaching in the high school's Industrial Technology program. The vocational teacher is part of the subject group and plays a central role in planning and developing the operations. Responsibilities include planning and conducting pedagogical work in accordance with applicable governing documents and performing relevant tasks. Class leadership and participation in team work are included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an appropriate teaching degree and teaching certification or knowledge and experience from relevant work in the manufacturing industry. You are engaged and knowledgeable in your subjects and are a skilled educator who enjoys challenges. Knowledge in Mig/Mag, Tig, and gas welding, as well as good knowledge in manual cutting metal processing, reading and constructing drawings, material knowledge, product development, and working environment is advantageous. You also have good knowledge in ISO-based programming of CNC machines, both lathes and milling machines (multi-operation machines).

You have good contact with young people and are a good leader. You are confident in your teaching role and can motivate and inspire. You work formatively and actively for inclusion and want to individualize teaching according to students' needs and conditions. You are computer literate and use IT in your pedagogical work. You should be cooperative and attentive, and we would like to see a driven and structured person for the position.
