Sigrid Rudebeck Gymnasium is seeking teachers in several subjects

Sigrid Rudebeck Gymnasium is an independent, foundation-owned, non-profit high school founded in 1869, offering education in the natural sciences and social sciences programs. Located in historic premises on Bellmansgatan in central Gothenburg, approximately 525 students attend, and around forty staff members work here. Sigrid Rudebeck Gymnasium offers a safe and stimulating learning environment where experienced teachers meet students with high expectations and foster a love for learning. We are constantly working to develop our operations, where collegial learning is a cornerstone.

Sigrid Rudebeck is now looking for several new staff members for the autumn term of 2025. We are seeking certified high school teachers in the following subjects: mathematics, physics, English, and Spanish. We can offer a stimulating, developing, and safe work environment where knowledge, tradition, and study focus are key principles. We offer permanent positions with a workload of 100%.

Competence Profile:

Teachers who interest us have several years of experience teaching at the high school level and are eager to continue developing their teaching. We are looking for teachers who have documented experience in collaborating with colleagues to create the best conditions for learning. We see that applicants with a positive approach to quality work and school development have an advantage. Additional qualifications for the positions include further education, such as process leadership and mentoring within pedagogical work and collegial learning.

As a teacher, you engage with students with strong commitment and enthusiasm. In your leadership and classroom, you have the ability to contribute to an increased desire to learn and show trust in your students' abilities and responsibilities. You have a working method where you clearly support and follow up on your students' knowledge development in a structured way. You use and are well acquainted with digital tools in teaching and your daily work. You demonstrate in your leadership that you prioritize value-based work and thus serve as a good role model for your students. Mentorship for a group of students is included in the teaching assignment at Sigrid Rudebeck. As part of the mentorship, you are responsible for following up on your mentees' study paths and working on group development and safety in your mentor class.

For the positions in English and Spanish, it is advantageous to have a background with the target language as a first language or experience working in an English-speaking environment.
