About the position

As an Accounting Manager at Kvinna till Kvinna, you will have a central role within the finance function. You will collaborate with a finance officer, work closely with the controller team, and report to the Head of Finance and Administration.

Your responsibilities and tasks include:

• Leading and being responsible for accounting and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Swedish accounting principles and tax laws as well as internal policies.
• Managing annual financial statements, annual reports, audits, and financial reports to the board, donors, and other stakeholders.
• Preparing budgets and forecasts for liquidity and cash flow.
• Collaborating with controllers to improve and streamline processes and transparency in project and grant accounting.
• Administering the cloud-based business system XLedger.
• Communicating with the external payroll provider.
• Supporting the organization in financial matters, particularly related to fundraising and project accounting.
• Staying updated on changes in regulations and legislation, ensuring that policies and templates are updated.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in finance and several years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably within the non-profit sector or foundations. Experience in project accounting and grant management is an advantage. A background in auditing is also positive.

You are highly experienced in working with business systems, and your Excel skills are excellent. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. We also appreciate if you have experience and interest in leading and developing a finance team.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and meticulous. You have the ability to see both details and the big picture, as well as to handle complex accounting and reporting issues. To thrive in the organization, you should also be proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong desire to contribute to the foundation's mission.

The position of Accounting Manager is a permanent full-time position, with an initial six-month probation period. The position is based in Stockholm and travel may occur.
