We are now looking for two strategic advisors to the Director General's staff (GD-staben) based in Stockholm.
Responsibilities and Tasks
For both positions, you will be part of a team that assists and supports the Director General, the Deputy Director General, and the Board in management work. The assignment primarily involves proactively ensuring that the right issues are raised at the right time and that nothing is overlooked, as well as ensuring that qualified decision-making materials and other factual information are available in a timely manner. Materials are developed through contacts with various parts of the organization or externally, or, when deemed appropriate, through independent investigations and studies.
Both positions report directly to the head of the GD staff.
For both positions, we are looking for someone who
- has a relevant degree from a university or equivalent experiences/qualifications
- has a good ability to make strategic assessments and can understand and analyze complex issues
- can switch between strategic and practical matters based on management's needs
- is attentive, can place current issues in context, is meticulous with facts, and works in a structured manner
- is proactive, makes things happen, and takes responsibility for results
- has a good ability to network and collaborate and uses this to achieve results
- has strong communication and pedagogical skills, including the ability to express oneself well in speech and writing.
It is advantageous if you
- have experience working in a management support function
- have good knowledge of Försäkringskassan's organization and governance structure.

For one of the positions, the focus will primarily be on coordinating Försäkringskassan's contacts with the Government Offices, the Parliament, the Swedish Social Insurance Inspectorate, and other authorities together with colleagues.
Here we are looking for someone who
- has solid experience working at a strategic level in public administration, particularly with the conditions and requirements of government agencies
- has good knowledge of the governmental legislative and budget processes
- has experience working within the Government Offices (RK) or has had close collaboration with RK, e.g., at another agency.
For the other position, the focus will be on working with Försäkringskassan's internal management and governance processes, such as coordinating and consolidating issues related to the agency's operational order and organization, preparation processes, and other administrative governance.
Here we are looking for someone who
- has experience working at a strategic level in public administration
- has good knowledge of governance and management systems in government agencies.
Other Information
Two permanent positions, full-time, with start date according to agreement. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with Försäkringskassan's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. Swedish citizenship is required for this position.
