We are looking for an engaged, responsible, and experienced resource educator who wants to be an important part of our team at the preschool and support children with diabetes in their daily lives.

The position involves working closely with the child, their family, and our staff to create a safe and supportive environment where the child can develop and thrive.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support and care for children with diabetes throughout the day, including during meals and activities.
• Ensure that the child's blood sugar levels are maintained at a safe level by following medical instructions and safety procedures.
• Support the child's social and emotional development by being a safe adult and role model.
• Collaborate with preschool educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to create a holistic view of the child's needs.
• Participate in planning and implementing activities and games tailored to the child's capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with diabetes, preferably in a preschool or similar setting.
• Basic understanding of diabetes and how the condition affects children in their daily lives.
• Ability to create safety and security for children through an empathetic and responsible approach.
• Good collaboration skills and flexibility in work.
