Teaching Assistant Wanted at Vittra Vallentuna

About Us

Vittra Vallentuna started its operations in 2006 and is located by the Kragstalund commuter train station. Today, we have the privilege of caring for about 510 students, ranging from preschool to grade 9. We also have an integrated preschool with about 60 children and an after-school program with about 230 students.

We are looking for a teaching assistant with experience in NPF – do you want to make a difference in our students' everyday lives?

We are looking for someone who wants to work closely with students facing various social challenges and who wants to contribute to creating a safe and developing school environment. With us, you have the opportunity to make a real difference – every day.

In the role of teaching assistant, you will work with students who need special support, especially those with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF). Your task is to support the students both socially and in their schoolwork, in the classroom as well as in more secluded teaching situations. You are a vital part of creating structure, safety, and conditions for learning and development, in close collaboration with teachers, the student health team, and guardians.

We are looking for someone who is a calm and secure person with the ability to build trusting relationships with students. You need to have experience working with children and youth with NPF and be responsive to their needs. You find it easy to collaborate with other adults and can follow instructions while being self-driven in your role. You also have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have training as a teaching assistant, childcare worker, or other relevant education in pedagogy, special education, or social work. Previous work within schools or with the target group is also a plus.

The position is a fixed-term employment starting immediately and primarily extends until summer, but there is a possibility of extension. You will work on an hourly contract with a fixed schedule every day of the week. There is also an opportunity to work extra within our after-school program in the afternoons and during breaks.

Vittra has a collective agreement with Sweden's Teachers, Vision, and Kommunal, which includes occupational pension according to the ITP plan and insurance.
